At SCRS, our mission is to facilitate the smooth integration of Somali refugees into the Calgary community. We aim to provide the resources, guidance, and support necessary for refugees to build successful, independent lives. We believe that every family deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we are committed to making that a reality.

Welcome to Somali Community Resettlement Services (SCRS), where we are dedicated to empowering Somali refugees as they begin their new lives in Calgary. Founded on principles of compassion, support, and community, SCRS strives to provide comprehensive assistance to families and individuals transitioning to life in Canada.

SCRS offers a wide range of services designed to address the unique challenges faced by Somali refugees. From housing assistance and language classes to job placement and cultural orientation, our programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. We work closely with local partners and volunteers to ensure that our clients have access to the best resources available.

Faysal Hussein

Faysal Hussein brings a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to Somali Community Resettlement Services. With a background in Mechatronics Engineering and currently pursuing an MBA in Global Business Finance, Faysal's journey from a developing community with limited access to basic educational supplies has shaped his unwavering commitment to uplifting others. His ability to build meaningful relationships with our key investors and partners is instrumental in driving our mission forward, ensuring that every Somali refugee in Calgary has the support they need to thrive.

Mukhtar Ahmed

Mukhtar is an integral part of Somali Community Resettlement Services, leveraging his expertise and community connections to drive our mission forward. With a degree in Early Childhood Education and strong ties to some of our most important communities, Mukhtar is influential in shaping our policies, proposals, and fundraising rounds. His dedication and leadership ensure that our programs effectively support Somali refugees in their journey towards a brighter future in Calgary.
